keyboard issues in Terminal Server 2003

We currently run Windows 2003 on our servers and use Terminal Services
to access applications. We have been running into an issue where users
will press the decimal key on their numpad and it brings up the Windows
Security window, just like if you were to press CTRL+ALT+DEL. We
currently have 250 user spread between 12
locations and we have had the problem pop up in 3 different sites -we
already swapped the keyboards out for these users and the issue
continues to occur - Was wondering if anyone else had seen this, or if
you had any suggestions??

Thanks

We are having a similar problem.

We are running Windows 2003 Standard Edition and our 20 or so users are on
NT, 2000, XP Pro and Embedded XP machines. The problem (so far) is only
being reported by 2 users. One on an NT machine and one on a Windows 2000
Professional machine.

We get the Windows Security dialog when they hit the Del. The NT user only
gets the problem occationally. For 20/30 mins at a time once or twice a
week. The Windows 2000 Pro user is getting the problem all the time. The
problem seems to be tied to the particular users on these particular
machines. So the problem doesn't occur when one of these users logs on via a
working machine. Similarly, the problem doesn't occur when another user logs
on to one of these "problem" machines.

And finally, just to complete the summary of our investigations, the problem
remains if you remote control a problem session (via terminal services
manager).

Any ideas? e.g. Is this a known problem and if so what's the fix? Or what
more investigation we could do to narrow down the cause of this problem?

Thanks - SS

Just to let you know this problem seems to have righted itself. No system
changes but the problem has cleared up for the Win2KPro user and hasn't
happened for a week or so for the NT user.
