I have a user with a Macintosh in our windows 2000 enviroment. We have a
terminal server that is for the personnel to connect to using VPN. With
Remote Desktop Connection client 1.0.3 he can connect to the terminal server
from home, but he is now getting the following message: "Terminal Service
Warning, Temporary client License will expire in 11 days, contact system
Admin to get permanent license". None of our windows users get this message
when they use VPN and connect to the terminal server using terminal services
client.
My question is: Are there a special licensing requirements for Mac RDC users
to connect to a Terminal Server?

Any help or response would be appreciated.

It's rather the Windows 2000 clients that are special: they get a
free TS CAL from the build-in pool of licenses on the TS Licensing
Server.
A Macintosh client (like a unix, Windows 9x, Window NT client)
needs a purchased TS CAL.
