Hi,
I have a Windows 2000 AD with XP SP1 clients. Some of these are configured
as 'kiosk' PCs and occasionally have problems. We would like to allow the
helpdesk to remotely take these machines over and manage them. However, the
client does not like the fact that the screen of the kiosk pc goes blank when
the helpdesk take control. Is their some way to change this behaviour?

I am not up on XP remote desktop control and wonder if this is something
controllable through GPO? The helpdesk also use Xp sp1.

all advice comments etc will be appreciated,

Churchill.

If the screen goes blank then they are logging onto the console session,
instead of shadowing. Have them logon to to an RPD session on the server,
then shadow the console session of the workstation.

Check-out the "shadow" cmd line utility, or use remote assistance.
