Hi,

I have a client who has around 50 terminal server users. 25 of them are
on a Windows 2000 Terminal Server and 25 are on a Windows 2003 Terminal
Server. Both servers are in Windows 2000 AD.

My question is that when I activate a license server for that domain,
what restrictions do I have in where to activate the license server (on
a dc, on a w2k3 server, etc) and, will my license server be able to
handle the licenses for both Windows 2003 TS User Cals and Windows 2000
TS Cals?

Thanks for all your help,

A 2003 TS Licensing Server can handle both 2003 and W2K TS CALs.
A W2K Licensing Server can *not* handle 2003 TS CALs, only W2K TS
CALs.

Highly recommended reading, lots of examples of a mixed 2003/W2K
environment:
