Default printer does not remain the same

[Buddy]

A client of ours is using windows 98 clients with remote desktop connection
to connect to a windows 2000 terminal server. If the clients have a local
printer as a default printer, it never changes. However, others that have a
default printer from the server printer selections experience intermittent
changes in their default printer. We have been unable to connect this with
any action being performed by the end-user. Further, this past Thursday, one
such user had this occur to her and it has never happened to her before in
the several years they have been using terminal services. Any advice?

Hi htere Buddy,

I have experienced a similar problem. It seems to be
related to romaing user profiles and not eh Terminal
Server. I made all the users Local profiles and this has
resolved my printing issues,

Within the terminal services profile of Active Directory,I removed the
network path that had existed in the user profile field (copying that profile
to the terminal server under documents and settings for the user). Today
(after about a week of no problem) the user reports that her default printer
again changed. Did I do something incorrect? Her home directory (network
path) is still selected.
