I connect from a Windows 2000 Pro machine to our servers and don't have a
problem except with one server. When I try to connect here is the error
message that I receive. Remote Desktop Disconnected because of a protocal
error detected at the client (0x1104) this session will be disconnected.
Please try connecting to the remote computer again. Is this some type of
hardware issue, and if it is how would I fix this.

Any EventIDs in the EventLog on the Terminal Server?

For what it's worth: another poster reported this problem a couple of
weeks ago in this thread:

and his resolution. Turned out to be a backdoor trojan.

No, there is no EventID in the event log that had anything to do with
Terminal Server.

How about the backdoor trojan? Have you checked which processes are
running on the server and which ports they are listening on?

I have run my virus software and it did not find any type of virus. Is there
a specific way to check for backdoor trojan's other than running virus
checker?

Which processes are running on the server and which ports are they
are listening on?
Can you connect from the console of the server to the server itself
with the rdp client?
