Hi there,
Locally i have a HP DeskJet710c, paper size is A4. When i connect to my TS
(windows2000), my printer is well mapped, but the paper size is Letter.
How can i make this A4 by default?
And especially for all other users, with different printers, that connect
to several other TS (all windows2000), because i know how to change it, but
they don't or doesnot have the ability.
I have searched for a solution for this problem for a long time, but never
find an answer, hopefully i get an answer now.
Thanks, Mieke

I too have been searching for a solution for this for ages!! Someone
mentioned editing the gpd files associated with the printer, but I have
had no luck....

As mentioned before by Vera Noest in another question:
243942 - Terminal Services Printer Redirection Not Signaled on Change to
Server-Side Device Settings Tab
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=243942

I've tried that workaround in the past and it did not seem to work.
But yesterday I have changed the settings on some printers and today the
paper size is still A4. The users do have made a new connection today.
So I think this may be the solution.
Good luck!

My main problem is I don't really want to give normal users permission
to change the paper size themselves... ;)

No, I've changed it myself being administrator, while they were connected. It
seemed to work, but today I've noticed that there printers that have the
Letter instead of A4 again!!! It is really a never-ending problem.
