Hi all,
I found my problem posted 2 days ago (Win98 pc stopped to connect to W2K
terminal server; network error...) to be a licensing problem. The client is
Win98. I was re-reading W2K terminal services licensing FAQ and... I
understand less than the last time I read this stuff about 2-3 years ago.
The only I can catch for sure is that the W2K Pro and XP Pro DOES NOT NEED
terminal services client licenses. I have checked my licensing server and
I've not found any of my XP Pro workstations listed so I suppouse that is
true. All the PC listed are Win98 and they all have licenses expiring in the
next two months.
I'd like to get this for sure 'cause the Terminal Services connectivity has
become critical for our offices, and we are considering buying more
licenses. But we are also upgrading our PCs to XP Pro so I assume we don't
need to buy new licenses, just upgrading to XP will be enought. Is it?
