The resolution is controlled by the client settings, or by the rdp
configuration settings delivered by Remote Desktop Web Connection. Launch
Remote Desktop Client, set manual settings to something like 800x600, or
1024x768. Does the client honor these settings?

The terminal services manager application even shows the correct
"requested" client resolution but the actual session regardless of the
client's higher requested resolution is ignored and delivers 800 x 600.

terminal server resolution issue 800 x 600 ? solved...
Here's how:

1) insure that the client is requesting the correct resolution - using
the terminal services manager - select an active connection and select
the information tab - it will show the RDP client resolution (insure
it's abofe 800x600)

2) Only at the terminal server console, right click on the desktop,
select properties, settings tab, -If you have an enabled advanced
button selected it. Our Intel video controller driver allowed a setting
to increase the font size 1.25% - this made a 1024x768 session appear
(font wise) like 800 x 600 size.

- in summary if you are certain the RDP client is requesting the
correct resolution double check the terminal server for an advanced tab
setting (only from the system console)
