Hi everyone!

I have a really annoying problem. When users try to log in to our
Terminal Server they are getting logged out almost immediately.

Our environment is like this:

One 2000 Server with Terminal Services (SP4)
30 Thin Clients

I've configured the RDP-connection to use progman.exe as the shell.
This has worked brilliant for over three years now and all of a sudden
no one can log in. The users get the progman shell but it only shows
for about two seconds and then the users is logged out.

There is nothing in the logs.
Anyone got a clue?

Thanks in advance

Try to start the standard shell and then to run your application and check
if it terminate immediately or can run normally.

When I use the usual explorer.exe as shell everything works fine but
that is not an option for us. I have tried to use a ntconfig.pol file
for setting up the shell and now my problem is that the users cannot
log off instead :)

When the users exit progman the session usually ends and the user is
being logged out. Now the progman windows disappear but the user is not
logged off. In tsadmin all users still remain active. You have to
manually log off the user in tsadmin.

So, I solved my first problem but created another one just as annoying
as the first one...
