mstsc cannot talk thru 2 firewalls?

Is this true? Please say no..

I have a TS server working behind a linksys with the port set to a
number other than the default (i.e. 3389). From my friends house (he
has DSL) mstsc works fine.
From my workplace (where there is almost certainly a firewall on the
client side), mstsc cannot get thru.
Is there any workaround for this problem?

TIA.

It depends on the traffic rules setup on your corporate firewall. Firewall
administrators often restrict traffic to that which is for business use, i.e.
If they host a Terminal Server they'll allow RDP traffic in and out to that
specific machine, and to no others.

Check with your firewall administrator to see if they'll alow you to connect
to your home computer, using the port your TS is listening on.
