Hi !

I have a Win2000 Advance Server running terminal services for Windows
XP SP2 machines. After installing Service Pack 4 for the Win2000 Advance
Server, few of the WinXP SP2 machines were not able to connect to the Win2000
Advance Server using Remote Desktop Utility. The very same machines were able
to connect to the server before installation of Service Pack 4 on the server.

Is there anything in the EventLog on the server?
Which error message do these clients get when they try to connect?

Its either of the two as mentioned below

1) The remote computer has disconnected the session because of error in
licensing protocol. Try connecting again or contact administrator

2) The connection was ended because of network error. Try connecting later

I have reinstalled the Terminal Services. The Terminal Services License
Server is the same machine ( the machine which is hosting the terminal
services ). I tried uninstalling and reactivating the license server
successfully, it doesn't seem to work

Try if it helps to delete the locally stored license from the
client:
