My remote desktop client is trying to print to their local printer which w2k
server has setup a redirect print queue, but whenever a print job is sent to
the RDP printer queue it responds with a printer error message. What is
missing?

Do you get any errors in the event log?

no error messages in event viewer. just a printer folders message saying
"there was an error when printing job......." to TS001, do you want to retry
or cancel.

I have the same issue - jobs go in to queue fine and then just say "error -
printing". It doesn't happen for everyone - has tried updated drivers without
any luck

Hi Guys and Girls

Some Printer drivers do not like the TS environment. Some printer
vendors do provide specific drivers (Mini Drivers) for use in the TS
environment. Could this be your problem ?

Check with your vendor, a W2K Driver will work fine on the W2K server,
but may have a problem when you use it in TS.

I have found this to be the case specifically in the MFP market.
