Licenses getting corrupted

I have a problem that I frequently get on RDP clients; they get an error that
“There is an error in licensing protocol”. A workaround that I’ve found for
this is to delete the license in the clients registry; the MSLicensing key.
Although this works, I would not like to continuously delete licenses off
client computers and suspect it is not the client side as various versions of
Windows causes this.

What can cause this?

Which OS do you run on the Terminal Server? And the TS Licensing
Server? And the clients?
This error can appear if you had a temporary license and the
90 days has expired. It can appear if you do not have a
TS License server in your domain or the TS License server is
older than the TS Server (Windows 2003 TS and Windows 2000
License Server). Check the EventLog on your TS for more
information.
