XP Home or Pro connections to W2000 Terminal Server Server

Terminal services is running fine. Several users are able to connect using
W2000 Pro workstations and XP Pro stations, all with the latest patches and
SP's.

A new user with XP Pro connects once to terminal server, finishes work and
logs off. The next time she tries to connect she gets a series of flase
errors:

1) Remote connections might not be enabled at the remote computer.
2) The maximum number of connections was exceeded at the remote computer.
3) A network error occurred while establishing the connection.

I say false because I walk her through to delete an entry in the registry:
MS Licensing.

The user is now able to connect. Logs off and can't connect again until we
delete the MS Licensing entry from the registry.

Etc.

I've seen several entries here bordering on this problem but no definite
solution. I would really appreciate help. I'm sure somebody has found a
solution.

Thank you,

If you can connect *once* after deleting the registry key, there is
a problem with the transfer or the storage of the permanent
license.
The reason for your particular problem should be recorded in the
EventLog on the TS. Please post the EventID and Source here.

Addition: your subject lines says "XP Home or Pro....".
This user is *not* running XP Home, is she? Because in that case,
you probably don't have a license available. XP Pro get a free
license, XP Home needs a purchased TS CAL.

Originally she had XP Home, due to the problem I installed XP Pro. We have 20
TS CAL and very few users. I'll get the event ID tomorrow and post.

Vera, as an FYI. The user is using Bell South DSL service. The laptop is able
to connect to the internet without any prolems. The Bell South software had
not been installed. We installed the software and problem solved. The problem
was not TS related, it seemed to be proper communication between the laptop
and the external DSL modem. Thank you for your help.
