Hi,

On 2003 terminal services allow you to map a printer/share over RDP using
\\tsclient\share.

On 2000 terminal services is there a function that will allow this to work
in the same way ?

Thanks for any advice.

Printer redirection is fully supported in W2K.
Local drive redirection is not, but if your client is on the same LAN
as the Terminal Server, you can get around this by sharing the local
drive and then connecting to it from within your session, preferably
within your logon script (with the net use command). This will NOT
work over the Internet.
Another possibility for file transfer is to use TSDropCopy from
http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/system/tsdc.htm

That's enabled by default. Check your rdp client settings.
If your printer doesn't autocreate in your session, check the
EventLog on the Terminal Server.
Most likely, you have a driver problem. If that's the case, use the
information in this article to map your printer to a native driver:

1105, and 1106

thanks very much for reply again. I think im going to have to look at it
from the users point of view. they are connecting to a remote location over
RDP direct and attempting to print back to a local printer. i think a test
page works now but one application isnt. cant really sort this remotely
unless im on their machine.

thanks for your help
