Hi all.
I have a Windows 2000 domain. One of the DCs is the TS License server. I
have a Win2000 TS server and want to add one of our servers that has Windows
2003. When I changed the TS mode on the 2K3 box, it wouldn't get licenses
from the 2000 TS Lic server so I had to put it back into the "admin mode".

Shouldn't this work? ...or do I have to have a Windows 2003 server as the TS
license server?

Thanks for the input.

No, this is not going to work.
A Windows 2003 TS *must* connect to a 2003 LS. The 2003 LS does not
have to run on a Domain Controller, it can run on any 2003 member
server.
You also need to buy new licenses, both server CALs and TS CAL. You
can *not* use your W2K TS CALs to connect to a 2003 TS. This also
applies to W2K Pro and XP Pro workstations!
Before you buy and install 2003 TS CALs, decide if you want Per
User or Per Device licenses. This is an important decision, which
cannot be changed afterwards.
